WYSE Work Abroad welcomes the following new WYSE Work Abroad Board Members, who were elected by the membership during the WYSE Work Abroad Annual General Meeting on Thursday, 24 September:

WYSE Work Abroad Treasurer (3-year term):
Samuel Lloyd, STB (Brazil)

WYSE Work Abroad Board Member (3-year term):
Randy Sykes, International Student Volunteers (USA)

The WYSE Work Abroad community thanks Samuel and Randy for volunteering their time to serve the association. They join current Board Members Elizabeth O’Neill, Steven Caron, Philippe Kohn, and Jill Tabuteau.

The arrival of these new members marks the exit of two WYSE Work Abroad Board Members, who reached the end of their terms. WYSE Work Abroad gives a heartfelt thanks to Henrique Braga from STB Brazil, WYSE Work Abroad Treasurer (2008-2009), and David Smith from SWAP Working Holidays, WYSE Work Abroad Board Member (2007-2009).

David Smith has worked on behalf of the Association for a number of years, beginning with his years of service as Chair of IAEWEP, one of WYSE Work Abroad’s two predecessors, and Co-Chair of WYSE Work Abroad during its transition year after the merger of IAEWEP and GWEA in 2006. The Association will miss his leadership and guidance, and the WYSE Work Abroad Executive Board will also certainly miss his fantastic sense of humour.
